More great gifts to pick up at The Bunny Hop!

I also tend to be a bit wordier in the posts on this blog than I am on the official Bunny Hop gridwide hunt blog. If you’re wondering about the title to this post, it relates to Bob Dylan in the first photo and answers in the second photo!

I’ve been crazy busy real life, but I’ve taken a little time to help when I can with the Bunny Hop Gridwide Hunt. I helped review some stores and am posting on The Bunny Hop Blog. So I’m putting up a post here I wrote that went up on that blog earlier today - sans Cutey Magic’s Japanese translation. Here it is:

With 300+ stores in The Bunny Hop, I did not expect to want to keep ALL the prizes I found. But I have not only been delightfully surprised, but STUNNED by the extreme fantasticness (yes, I know that’s not a word, but words just escape me I’m so thrilled) of the prizes in this Second Life hunt.

So even if you rarely hunt, have given up hunts or have never hunted before, you will want to do this one. Here’s just a few of the great gifts to be found.

Outfit and specially made Cutey Magic bunny egg by TOAST! The egg opens and closes, and the bunny moves, and opens and shuts its eyes! The Priscilla hair I am wearing in corn blond is by Hal*Hina, and it also comes in almond. This is a view inside the house featured above.

Still inside our Bunny Hop gift house from K’s House Shop and wearing the TOAST! outfit and Hal*Hina hair, you can get a look at the oh-s0-darling pumps by Duh! They gave us both a black and white pair. Duh! also has some shoes for the guys, but they are not shown.

We at SL Shameless Gossip luvz the Greenies, and I blogged the Greenies over a year ago. Naturally, I visited for the holidays.

When I stopped by the Greenie Home to wish my little friends a Merry Christmas, I found some gifts under the Charlie Brown style tree! Here you see me standing on a present looking up at it. So let me show you my finds!

Hat and Greenie love particles

This hat was among the gifts, and I wish you could see it, as it’s the best Santa hat I’ve seen in SL. Also included were wearable Greenie love particles! Don’t mind my friend here, he’s still finishing up his Christmas list. (The outfit was an Advent gift from artilleri that is no longer available.)

Bee Queen costume

In one of the unmarked boxes I found this free bee queen costume, complete with hair, eyes, glowy skirt and bees that buzzed all around me. (Here I am standing in front of a different gift box.) There’s a shape in there too, but sorry, I only wear my own shapes. No matter what, I want to look like me.

The prim top came in two attachments,  left and right pecs. Now when your AO moves, that can leave you a bit exposed, as it doesn’t move with you. So I did a bit of editing and attached one to my chest point and one to my spine point. Since my own shape is bigger than the one included, I also increased the size of the prim top. I then moved the bee attachment (it was a spine attachment) which makes all the bees buzz around and moved it to my right hip. If you can edit prims at all, you know all of this only took a few minutes. If you don’t know how to edit, wear the included shape.

Next, I found the gift of a little bird avatar! Yep, that little blue bird in there is me!

Greenie slippers

Back home at my Damiani Christmas room (blogged earlier) you see me relaxing in pajamas by Damiani. Though these came with very cute little red house slippers, I have replaced them with the greenie house slippers I found as a gift under the tree at the Greenie Home.

I continued my exploration of winter showcase sims today at Wintermute. Wintermute is described in Search as “a poem inside a mystery wrapped inside a metaphor.”

An unexpected refuge from the bitter winter

Contemplating the meaning of life and death

This cute little skating dress is in the women’s freebies package you can find on a sign right inside the wall at Nylon Outfitters. Three different colors gloves are included, as is a red skating dress and, well, just all kinds of other freebies.

These may be my fave color combination of the Chapeau tres Mignon skates - black and silver.

We’ve lately become enamored of [GearShift] and here you see Quest and I in front of the Golden Gate Bridge modeling the his and hers hoodies available for free to group members at the [GearShift] stores.

Quest’s shirt is included. The woman’s hoodie says “Allure” on the front, which I’m not that crazy about, but for the guys this is a great gift. Now you know often guys’ clothes look great on women in SL, but the “his” hoodie version didn’t really work on me in this case. You’ll need to join the group and head over to one of the [GearShift] locations to touch the sign to get the goods.

And for those who are wondering, this look you see on me today is about as close as it gets to the real life me.

Oh, what’s more fun in Second Life than anything pirate? Head on over to Cassiopeia Isle for a pirate celebration. All kinds of pirate goodies from LVS and My Dead Kitty right outside of LVS!  Starts Friday, August 29 and goes for three days. Pirate and wench clothing, as well as this bomb pirate balloon, complete with navigation telescope and a small pirate ship to navigate the waters around SL!

Pirate balloon photos were taken at Pirate’s Keep at Beek Haven. A resident commented on my cool balloon, and we got to talking. He told me they have six sims there and an active pirate community. Finally, somewhere to wear my peg leg! (And if you don’t have one, yes, you can get it over at Cassiopeia, right outside LVS!

Just one warning. As you are crazily clicking to pick up all the pirate goodies outside LVS, be careful, as I accidentally spent $350L on unwanted pirate jewelry by Lynx. It’s right there with the dollarbies. Thank god it was trans, so I gave it to friends.

Dear Shameless Gossipgirl - Second Life Advice that’s Worth Exactly What You Paid for It

Dear Shameless Gossipgirl,

Since I have returned from a long vacation, I am having a hard time getting into the swing of things in SL. Many of my fairy friends are absent from the drum circle; perhaps they are on vacation themselves. What can I do to cheer myself up?

Aww, Devi, if I had known you were having vacation withdrawal, I would have taken you along to Retrology. Gifts all over the sim all week long! I won’t get into particulars, as I’m sure it’s been blogged to death, but get your fairy butt over there. You still have a lot of time.

If that dress from Total Betty and all the other great designer gifts at Retrology don’t cheer you up, head on over to Kuri Style. They are having a $1L sale of some designs that will make your little fairy heart beat faster. Also some that are a real steal at $50L. Sapphire tells me Kuri had this mini-dress out at $25L several months ago, and she broke a heel dashing over there.

Well now it is only $1L for a few days, and you can also get it in white or black.

Is this cute or what? This is a Kuri outfit called “The Cat’s Pajamas” and it comes with the stockings. It was a steal at $50L.

The shoes are free Mistress heels from The Dominatrix Shop, and the detail on these is killer. Choose the Mistress heels or the Slave heels - I have trouble making choices, so I grabbed both!

The skin I’m wearing in these two photos (in case you didn’t know, the blonde above is Sapphire), is one of the currently free skins from Crave Designs. This one is Glam skin Mistress makeup -Light Skin - the Mistress theme went with the shoes!
